Catching up. In less than 48 hours, I will be turning 30. Gone are the days that I can tell someone I am in my twenties when asked of my age. A new decade is dawning upon me. Why did I start this blog? Well, my partner just did and her sister who has just turned 20 not too long ago is an avid blogger. So I thought, well, maybe I should start one too, then I can safely tell people that I started blogging in my twenties.
I have never thought of starting a blog as I never really understood why people would want to display their thoughts online for the whole world to see. Then I realised it is not so much about sharing intimate thoughts but as a way of preserving your thoughts into words. People have gotten into trouble through their blogs, made famous by their blogs or even sent to jail in the most extreme of cases. But that just say one thing - the medium works. People do read other people's blogs and in the borderless world that we live in today, an idea can be shared beyond a small reach of people.
Of course as we know, some ideas or opinions may offend others. But face it, everyone has a choice. So although what may be found within my posts may offend some out there do remember, that none of my opinions or thougts reflect those of my family. More importantly, do remember that part of my right to express my thoughts and opinions is your right to ignore them.
